In this age of some folks constantly having to correct others, in order to make themselves feel more important (?), justified (?), accomplished (?), head of the class (?)…or…elitist (??), I have to wonder why they feel constantly entitled to correct others on their choices.

I recently made a public post on my facebook page about the longevity of coronavirus research in this country, (USA), and post blew up about all the things Covid-19, up to and including the requisite bullying about people’s choices.

Then, nearly simultaneously, a friend had a celebratory post of theirs shared to a huge group, where immediately, the know it alls, the rule readers and interpreters, had to correct them on their use of the word, “endurance” over “limited distance”. Really?? REALLY? Is your life really going so well, so perfectly, that you have time to peruse your social media feeds and make sure that every person uses the semantics you prefer and make a big deal of it, all day long? Because the rules say this…WHO CARES?

My point is, love one another. Kindness prevails. We don’t have to agree on every point to get along. If your club affiliations aren’t of the supremacist variety, in any way, you can be my friend. I would prefer you wear a helmet when you ride a horse, motorcycle, bicycle, etc, but I’m not going to cast you out if you don’t. I honestly don’t care what riding organizations you belong to if you are a good human being. If you put chains on your TWH’s ankles and stack their shoes to the ceiling, I’ll have an issue with your morals and character. If you pick on the less fortunate, and small children, I’ll definitely have an issue with your morals and character.

Cooler heads prevail. Be kind and mindful of your fellow human. If they don’t subscribe to your particular set of beliefs, that’s ok. Let it be.

You don’t know what your fellow human is going through. Be nice, be available, and answer kindly if they ask your opinion, otherwise, it’s probably better to keep it to your damnself.
